Is the class in full swing right now?

I came to the first grade class where Korean language classes are currently held during second period.

As you can see, the teacher is alone in an empty classroom with no students.

Today is a day for discussion classes, so the teacher is busy constantly communicating with the children while watching live chat through monitoring.

In this school, even if there are no students, the teacher teaches classes in the classroom, and it is the beginning of interactive communication.

In the first class, I saw a carpentry class myself.

The teacher constantly asks the children questions, and the children respond freely, and if I listen to the sound outside the lab, I can’t feel a big difference from the face-to-face class.

Even after the announcement that all classes in all grades of middle and high schools in Seoul will be converted to distance classes by the 20th, the teachers responded that they weren’t very moved.

It is because I have gotten used to the distance class and the face-to-face class together.

However, for quality classes similar to face-to-face classes, most have returned on the weekend to prepare for class.

This is because it takes 3 to 4 times as long as the class to prepare the materials.

Also, if it is done remotely, the concentration of the students will inevitably decrease, which is why it is said that attendance is checked every hour and the class schedule operates as usual.

In the wake of the Corona 19 crisis that has been going on for almost a year, both teachers and students have already gotten used to online classes.

However, since the reason for the existence of the school is the students, it was a common opinion that we expected the old days of taking classes together to return.

In the midst of this, as social distancing in the metro area rises to 2.5 levels as of tomorrow, school attendance has been limited, right?

[기자]

So is.

Starting tomorrow, kindergartens and elementary, middle and high schools in the metropolitan area will be limited to less than a third of the attendance.

In the non-metropolitan area, which has been upgraded to the second stage, the number of kindergarten, primary and secondary attendance should be one third as a rule, and secondary schools should maintain less than two thirds.

However, depending on the region or school conditions, the number of kindergarten, elementary school and high school attendance may be expanded to less than two-thirds of the total number of students.

The Ministry of Education also directed each school to adjust the assessment schedule and plan to ensure that student assessments and records at the end of the semester go smoothly.

Furthermore, every city and provincial bureau of education repeatedly urged every city and provincial bureau of education to avoid creating gaps in education or care due to the expansion of distance classes.

Along with this, since the social distancing has been upgraded to step 2.5, the operation of private institutes between the general management facilities will be completely stopped.

There was no content ban on the academy in the 2.5 quarantine measures proposed by the government previously, but these measures were added to reduce the departure of students on vacation.

However, classes for college entrance exams are allowed considering the college entrance exam schedule for the 2021 school year.

In addition, training courses for the development of professional skills entrusted to the Ministry of Employment and Labor or that have been approved for courses are also excluded from the collective prohibition.
