The Ministry of Justice has officially announced that it will postpone the disciplinary committee two hours after the court’s decision against President Yoon Suk-yeol was made.

We set the expiration date as 4, which is two days after the original schedule.

Regarding the reasons for the postponement, he stressed that he accepted President Yoon’s request to guarantee sufficient procedural rights and defense rights.

Previously, President Yoon requested the disclosure of disciplinary files, related approval documents and the list of members of the disciplinary committee, but the Ministry of Justice said there was no response and requested that the schedule be postponed even to guarantee the right to defense. .

However, some analyzes show that it is difficult to conduct the disciplinary committee as scheduled.

This is because it was revealed that the day before, Vice Minister Koki-young expressed his gratitude and said, “I take full responsibility for the recent series of events.”

According to the Prosecutor’s Discipline Law, the Deputy Minister of Justice must participate in the disciplinary committee as an ex officio member, and in this disciplinary committee he must also act as chairman on behalf of Minister Choo Mi-ae.

In fact, by making the postponement of the disciplinary committee official, the Ministry of Justice emphasized that it will soon implement a successor to the late Vice Minister.

Regarding the court ruling that motivated Yoon’s return to work, he assessed that it was limited to a temporary measure of suspension from work, although he respected the decision.

He emphasized that in the future, a disciplinary charge will or will not be recognized and the level of disciplinary action will be carried out through the faithful deliberation of the disciplinary committee in accordance with the laws and procedures.

It is interpreted as a clarification that although Minister Chu Mi-ae, who has been more defensive than ever with the court’s decision and expression of his thanks, does not intend to bring a disciplinary claim against Yun.
