It is estimated that between May and July this year, the damaged bodies found one after another in the Gyeongin Ara Waterway and nearby mountains were a woman between 30 and 40 years old, 160-167 cm tall.
On the 1st, the Incheon Gyeyang Police Station released a photograph from the National Institute of Forensic Investigations reconstructing the deceased’s face in three dimensions with the bones of a damaged body found in the Gyeongin Ara Canal.
Part of the body was found damaged in the Gyeongin Ara Waterway in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon in May and June this year. In July, a part of a damaged body, which was being subjected to a baekgolhwa, appeared in the middle of Mount Gyeyang in Gyeyang-gu.
Police commissioned the National Institute for Scientific Research to analyze these damaged bodies, and in July received the results of an assessment that the bodies’ genetic information (DNA) was identical.
The police estimated that the body is that of a woman between 30 and 40 years old and 160 to 167 cm tall based on the results of the analysis of the fruit tree. The blood type is B.
In addition, there were traces of gold inlays on the left teeth of the upper jaw (maxilla) and resin treatment on the left and right teeth of the lower jaw (mandible).
Over the past six months, the police have verified the lives and deaths of more than 400,000 people, including missing persons, non-assistants, victims of intimate partner and domestic violence, single women and dental healers, and if survival is not confirmed, has collected and compared the DNA of their families.
The police organized a 46-person investigation team, including the Gyeyangseo Detective Department, the US-made Incheon Police Agency equipment, and the Metropolitan Investigation Team, and conducted 134 searches at places like Ara Waterway, where the body was found.
Considering that the body has traces of dental treatment, investigations were conducted against therapists such as dental clinics and dental laboratories in the metropolitan area, but the identity of the body has not yet been confirmed.
Police are investigating in various ways, focusing on the possibility of a violent incident in which the damaged body was found in various locations.
On that day, the police decided to reveal photos and information about the restored face of the damaged body and receive reports from citizens. Reports can be made at the Gyeyang Police Station or 112.
