Moderna today petitioned the US government to make the vaccine available for emergency use.
The third phase of the clinical trial ended and, like the intermediate results, 94 percent of the results were high.
Two vaccines, Pfizer and Modena, will be given to Americans before Christmas, but the rise in confirmed cases is unlikely to halt in the coming weeks.

The American pharmaceutical company Moderna today requests the United States Food and Drug Administration and the European Medicines Agency for the urgent use of the corona vaccine.
Final analysis of the phase 3 clinical trial of the vaccine revealed that it had a 94.1% prophylactic effect, which is about the same as the 94.5% of last month’s preliminary analysis.
Moderna emphasized that it was a breakthrough that the severe coronavirus prevention rate was 100%.

Moderna says the vaccine has been consistently effective regardless of age, race, or gender, and has no serious side effects.

The FDA advisory committee discussions are in the middle of this month and will be approved before Christmas, according to Modena.
US Secretary of Health and Human Services Alix Aza also said in a broadcast interview that two vaccines, Pfizer and Modena, will be administered to Americans before Christmas.
After discussing the priority of who will get the vaccine, he expects the vaccine to be distributed starting on the 10th of this month.
Concerns are emerging that the number of confirmed cases will rise in the coming weeks due to the massive change in Thanksgiving holiday, and the number of patients hospitalized by Corona has reached another high of 93,000.
