Additionally, the Democratic Party, the government, and the Blue House are participating in detailed discussions for the third disaster support payment.

A plan is expected to significantly increase the COVID-19 vaccine from the 30 million people announced by the government to 44 million people, and reflect this cost in the budget for next year along with the third disaster support fund.

In the political world, discussions about the third payment of the disaster subsidy are on the rise, and the specific details will be discussed at today’s party administration meeting.

Yes. This afternoon, the Prime Minister’s Mission will hold a private meeting of the senior party administration.

The Democratic Party is expected to organize the scale of the third disaster support payment through consultation with the party administration.

Previously, the Democratic Party and the force of the people have built a consensus on the third payment of disaster aid.

Also, considering next year’s budget and the state’s financial situation, we have gathered a lot of support for the selection.

First of all, the scale of support is being coordinated around 3.6 trillion won suggested by the people’s power.

This is half of the secondary disaster support fund, 7 trillion won, that was selectively paid to victims and vulnerable groups in the crown.

Since the ruling and opposition parties have reached some degree of agreement on the amount of support, final coordination is expected to be achieved at the party administration meeting.

Along with this, it seems that it will be discussed how the parties are still unable to bridge the gap in their positions, such as financing methods and supporting objectives.

As the party administration meeting takes place this afternoon, the results are expected to be delivered tonight only.

The Democratic Party and the popular power have not yet reached an agreement on how to raise funds, will it be concluded this week?

[기자]

Yes. Currently, the ruling and opposition parties are reviewing the budget for the next fiscal year which amounts to 55.58 trillion won.

We are discussing which parts to reduce and increase for each detailed business.

First, the Democratic Party pulled 2 trillion won from the reserve, which can be called an emergency fund, to finance the third disaster support fund.

It is a position to cover the remaining expenses by issuing additional government bonds.

In addition to this, the COVID-19 vaccine budget is also reflected in this budget.

The Democratic Party decided to ensure a vaccine for 44 million people, a significant increase from the 30 million people announced by the government.

To this end, we are moving forward with a plan to create an additional 1.3 trillion won in the current budget for next year.

In the end, while the increase in the budget seems inevitable, the strength of the people has maintained the position that government bonds should not be issued.

Instead of increasing the budget, they have insisted that the Korean version of the New Deal be cut to raise the third disaster support fund.

However, no matter how much it is reduced, there is a cap on funding, so the discussions are expected to minimize the issuance of government bonds.

The legal deadline to handle the budget for next year is until the 2nd of next month, and the Democratic Party has pledged to keep it.

If the budget for next year meets the statutory deadline as planned, the third disaster support fund can be paid as early as before the Lunar New Year holiday.

So far, the National Assembly has handed it over.
