Before the 2021 college entrance exam, which will take place on the 3rd of next month, candidates who have been confirmed with Corona 19 or who have been notified of self-isolation must notify the public health center and undergo a separate examination . Candidates who have been confirmed can apply for the SAT at a hospital or life treatment center, and those who are quarantined can apply for the SAT at a separate exam site.
On the 25th, the Ministry of Education directed the ‘Notices for Examiners’ that contain said contents. This year, new requirements for quarantine management were added due to Corona 19, so candidates should be familiar with the relevant information.
Examinees must first attend the preliminary call day on December 2 to receive exam tickets and carefully check the exam site location so that they do not find the exam site incorrectly on the day of the test. Admission to the test site building is prohibited on the day of the preliminary convocation, and candidates confirmed or quarantined for Corona 19 can receive an admission ticket by proxy through an immediate family member or acquaintance who can prove their relationship .
As confirmed candidates undergo testing at a hospital or life treatment center, and quarantined examinees at a separate testing site, examinees who have been notified of corona 19 confirmation or self-isolation prior to the test should observe the following. First of all, you must inform the public health center that you are an SAT applicant, receive related information, and report the fact of quarantine or confirmation to the appropriate education office, if you have taken the SAT and your contact information. At this time, the quarantine will inform whether it is possible to move by car (guardian, acquaintance, etc.) on the day of the test, and the confirmed person will also inform the name of the hospital (or life treatment center) to which it was delivered information.
Since the public health center plans to perform a corona19 diagnostic test the day before the SAT (December 2), candidates who wish to take the test will receive the diagnostic test at a nearby public health center, not a hospital ( screening clinic). Candidates must inform the public health center that they have visited, undergo diagnostic tests and report the fact to the appropriate education office. Upon receipt of the report, the Office of Education will inform the appropriate examinee of the location of an independent testing center or the matters necessary to conduct the test.
On the day of the test (December 3), you can enter the testing center starting at 6:30 a.m. and you must enter the designated testing room before 8:10 a.m. Before entering the laboratory, the body temperature of all those examined is measured, and if symptoms such as fever occur, it is advisable to inform the person in charge of measuring the temperature in advance. Candidates are required to wear a mask at the test site and must prepare an additional mask in case of loss, contamination, or damage.
This year, examinees are required to wear masks, so the identification process will be more thorough. Since management and monitoring to prevent fraudulent behavior is also strengthened by installing partitions on the desktop, the active cooperation of examinees is required. The examinee must briefly remove a mask and show his face at the supervisor’s request for identification. You should use partitions to write the test content or avoid cheating by making hand gestures. Reporter Hwang Seok-ha [email protected]
