“Belt, check the child’s condition. I hope you comfort him. Thanks for our emergency landing.”

“At that time, I don’t want to travel with the idea that if I fall into the water, if I fall I die. I don’t want to travel by plane now.”

The Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs ended an investigation into the case in 13 months and imposed a 660 million won penalty on Jeju Air.

At that time, part of the autopilot was broken, but there was no problem with the operation, so although it was not an emergency, there was a problem with the response of the captain who gave the emergency landing announcement.

However, considering the clarification that “in case of a situation, safety was the first priority”, we decided not to ask the captain for personal responsibility separately.

Immediately after the incident, Jeju Air paid 50,000 won for delay compensation per passenger, but the passengers filed a lawsuit demanding compensation for mental injuries.

Jeju Air, Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, etc. All four airlines, including Eastar Jet, were fined 3.66 billion won.
