As the number of confirmed cases related to the Yonsei University synchronous meetings and the spread of ‘Corona 19’ in university districts such as Sogang University and Korea University increased, an emergency occurred.

While quarantine measures are being strengthened, such as library closings and restricting the entry of outsiders to campus, national infectious disease societies have warned that the number of confirmed cases could reach 1,000 per day in one or more two weeks.

As ‘Corona 19’ followed in school, Yonsei University finally put out a ‘non-classroom class’ card.

From the 23rd to the 9th of next month, the entire undergraduate program will become ‘face-to-face classes’.

Physical education classes, as well as experiments and hands-on training, are conducted as non-face-to-face classes and, if necessary, prior approval from the school office is required.

In addition, the Central Library and the Academic Information Center will be closed and access to the student club facilities will be suspended.

Sogang University, where one of the students who attended the face-to-face conference was confirmed, will also temporarily close the school until tomorrow, and the class will also be switched to offline on the 7th of the following month.

Furthermore, at Korea University, six members of the ice hockey club were collectively infected, and at Hongik University, a student living in the dormitory was confirmed to have a corona emergency.

This is because if there are additional confirmed cases between close contacts, it can spread to a wave.

11 organizations specializing in infectious diseases in Korea, including the Korean Infectious Diseases Association, also issued statements, warning that if stricter quarantine measures are not taken, there may be 1,000 new confirmed cases per day in one to two weeks.

These lectures diagnosed that the risk of transmission is high because the Corona 19 virus survives longer in a dry, low-temperature environment.

Quarantine authorities are also known to review plans for a second-stage update as the trend of increasing confirmed cases is not stopping, with today and tomorrow expected to be a critical variable.
