Due to the Corona 19 epidemic, it is difficult to get a medical check-up within this year, as the phenomenon of delaying medical check-ups at the end of the year occurred.

The government extended the period of medical check-ups this year until next June to resolve such difficulties.

Before the end of the year, reservation consultations at the medical check-up center are flooded, but if you don’t make a reservation in advance, it is practically impossible to receive a check-up within this year.

This is because the people who delayed and postponed the checkup due to Corona 19 finished earlier, as they made reservations as the deadline approached.

As the difficulty of scheduling medical checkups increases, the government temporarily extends the period for national medical checkups this year until June next year.

The targets for which the screening period is extended until June next year are general health screenings and cancer screenings in 2020.

If a two-year check-up target, such as a clerical worker, wants to extend the check-up period, they can request an additional record after January 1 of the next year at the Health Insurance Corporation branch or appropriate workplace.

For non-office workers who are eligible for a one-year checkup, if they don’t get a checkup this year, they can get a medical checkup until next June without a separate application.

Cancer screenings, such as gastric cancer and breast cancer, can also be received in June of next year by requesting additional registration at a branch or business site of the Industrial Complex.

The Ministry of Employment and Labor has decided not to impose a fine if the medical check-up is extended until June next year, either at the request of the worker or due to the circumstances of the examining institution.

However, the government has warned that people with underlying diseases, including cancer, are more susceptible to COVID-19, so cancer screenings should be received as soon as possible this year.

Additionally, essential workers whose health care is important due to high work intensity or overwork due to Corona 19 should also receive medical check-ups within this year as much as possible.
