[정치]Yoon Seok-yeol “President Moon conveys a message to protect his term after the general election”

[앵커]

Even when Attorney General Yoon Seok-yeol was under pressure to resign from the ruling party, President Moon Jae-in delivered a message to keep his term in office until the end, the State Audit Office revealed.

Specifically, it was not revealed who received the message, but the Blue House said it would not comment on whether it was true.

The opposition party helped take command of the investigation in order to insult Yun, and he was trying to capture a family case.

However, General Yoon made clear his will not to retreat.

After the general election, he announced that he had received a message from President Moon Jae-in asking him to maintain his term until the end.

[윤석열 / 검찰총장 : 지난 총선 이후에도 민주당에서 사퇴하라 이런 얘기 나왔을 때도 (대통령께서) 적절한 메신저를 통해서 흔들리지 말고 임기를 지키면서 소임을 다하라고 말씀을 전해주셨습니다.]

President Yoon emphasized that doing his job faithfully is not only for the appointee, but also for the people, and he was not pressured by the ruling party.

[윤석열 / 검찰총장 : 거취 문제는 아직 임면권자께서 말씀이 없기 때문에, 또 임기라고 하는 거는 취임하면서 국민과 한 약속이니까, 어떤 압력이 있더라도 제가 할 소임은 다 할 생각입니다.]

However, the Blue House did not reveal any thoughts or positions on whether President Yoon’s statements were true.

A Blue House official said that to confirm the authenticity of the comments, we need to find the person who made them, but we do not know who they are and we have no intention of finding them.
