President Moon Jae-in gives a speech at the National Assembly today to explain next year’s budget and the government’s management plans.

Taking into account the crisis of the crown, it is said that next year it will succeed in quarantine and economy together, and will emphasize ‘a country that is strong in crisis’.

President Moon Jae-in made clear his willingness to push through reforms in the second half of his power in his speech to the National Assembly last year.

In particular, a strong push was needed to reform the prosecution and launch an airlift extension.

The reform of the prosecution service is still ongoing and the launch of the airlift is unfinished, but this year the situation is different.

Considering that the unprecedented Corona 19 incident occurred, and that it will continue next year, this year’s municipal speech is expected to influence the crown’s overcoming.

President Moon Jae-in plans to emphasize that Korea is one of the fastest recovering economies among the OECD countries amid the crown crisis.

At the same time, it is said that next year will reveal specific plans on how to succeed in quarantine and the economy together to create a “crisis-resistant country.”

In last year’s municipal speech, the next most-mentioned word after “national” and “economy” was “fair,” which appeared 27 times.

Indeed, as suggested by the leadership of the state administration in the last year of its tenure, this year’s municipal speech is expected to also emphasize its commitment to ‘equity’.

At the time of the municipal speech last year, opposition members of the Korean Liberal Party booed President Moon’s emphasis on justice.

Also, after speaking, most of them refused to shake the president’s hand and left.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly has gone from 20 to 21, and the opposition party has changed its name, but how the opposition party will react to President Moon’s correctional speech this year is still noteworthy, as the parties of the opposition face the air transport law.
