In the political world, discussions about the third payment of the disaster subsidy are on the rise, and the specific details will be discussed at today’s party administration meeting.

Yes. This afternoon, the Prime Minister’s Mission will hold a private meeting of the senior party administration.

With today’s meeting, the discussion on the third disaster grant is expected to be more concrete.

Previously, the Democratic Party and the force of the people have built a consensus on the third payment of disaster aid.

Also, considering next year’s budget and the state’s fiscal condition, we have gathered a lot of support for the selection.

First of all, the scale of support is being coordinated around 3.6 trillion won suggested by the people’s power.

It is half of the previous second disaster support fund, 7 trillion won, which was paid selectively to industries and vulnerable groups affected by the crown.

Since the ruling and opposition parties have reached a certain degree of agreement on the method and scale of support, the final decision is expected to be made at the party administration meeting.

Along with this, it seems that there will be a coordination of financing methods and support objectives, which the opposition parties have not yet been able to close the gap.

As the party administration meeting takes place this afternoon, the results are expected to be delivered tonight only.

The Democratic Party and the popular power have not yet reached an agreement on how to raise funds, will it be concluded this week?

[기자]

Yes. Currently, the ruling and opposition parties are reviewing the budget for the next fiscal year which amounts to 55.58 trillion won.

We are discussing which parts to reduce and increase for each detailed business.

First, the Democratic Party will draw 2 trillion won from the reserve, which can be called an emergency fund, from next year’s budget.

It is a position to cover the remaining expenses by issuing additional government bonds.

If this happens, the size of next year’s budget will increase even more.

In response to this, the people’s strength is that government bonds should not be issued.

Instead, the idea is to raise funds by reducing the budget for the Korean version of the New Deal, which the government is focusing on.

Although there is a subtle difference in position between the opposition parties, the confrontation is unlikely to continue as they have agreed on the need for the third disaster grant.

In the process of reducing and increasing the amount, it appears that an agreement will be reached on the concession line.

The legal deadline to process next year’s budget is until the 2nd of the following month, and there are only three days left.

The Democratic Party is ready to meet this deadline unconditionally.

If the budget for next year meets the statutory deadline as planned, the third disaster support fund can be paid as early as before the Lunar New Year holiday.

So far, the National Assembly has handed it over.
