Senior party management meeting, is it scheduled for 1 pm?

[기자]

Yes. It will take place at the Prime Minister’s Consulate at 1:00 p.m.

In the Democratic Party, Nak-Yeon Lee, Representative Tae-Yeon Kim and Chairman Han Jeong-ae of the Policy Committee will attend.

In government, Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun and Vice Premier Hong Nam-ki,

At the Blue House, President Roh Young-min and Choi Jae-seong, political director, plan to attend.

At this meeting, it is expected that the objective and size of the secondary disaster support fund, which is selected through a selective payment, will finally be decided.

It is known that the size of the fourth supplemental supplement to the second disaster aid payment will not exceed 10 trillion won.

It is under discussion that details of the measures will be released in the form of an emergency economic meeting chaired by the president this week.

Unlike the first disaster grant, the second is expected to be selectively paid to small businesses and businesses that have been damaged by Corona 19, right?

[기자]

Yes. The direction of the second disaster support fund is to select and support the classes and industries that have been damaged by Corona 19.

It hasn’t been finalized yet, but let’s take a look at what’s been reported so far.

In accordance with the group ban order, a method of providing business closure compensation of around 1 million won to self-employed business owners, such as karaoke rooms and PC cafe owners, is being reviewed.

In addition, it is reported that a plan is being promoted to give a certain amount of emergency subsidies to the underprivileged class, such as self-employed and special-type workers who have been harmed by the reproliferation of Corona 19.

Along with this, a method of dispensing care vouchers for parents who have been burdened by care due to suspension of attendance at kindergartens, nurseries and elementary schools is being discussed.

In addition, it is expected that unpaid leave, unemployed, basic beneficiaries and the following class will be included in the subsidy.

Unlike the cash-based primary disaster relief fund, the secondary relief fund is expected to vary in forms such as vouchers and financial support, as well as cash.

The party official said the targets were selected so there are no blind spots as much as possible so that those who suffered Corona 19 damage can receive compensation.

If the second disaster grant is confirmed after the consultation, the government will present the fourth supplemental bill to the National Assembly around this week.

Subsequently, the Democratic Party aims to provide emergency assistance before Chuseok after the National Assembly takes over the supplementary administration.

As the power of the people, the first opposition party, agrees with the urgency of the second disaster grant, there is no great disagreement on the handling of the supplementary bill.

So far, the National Assembly has handed it over.
