The Blue House has decided to ask North Korea for a further investigation into the case of our officials killed by North Korean gunshots in the West Sea.

Also, with the plan to request a joint investigation if necessary, the interest is based on whether North Korea will respond.

The Blue House decided to request a further investigation from the North in relation to the “Yonpyeong attack” incident.

This decision was made after discussions in the standing committee of the NSC and the National Security Council.

If necessary, we plan to request a joint investigation with the North.

A Blue House official said the decision was made because there was a difference between the case and the trial of the spy on our side, as revealed in the North’s notice.

He added that it was decided to further strengthen surveillance and alertness in the Western Sea to prevent a repeat of such an incident.

The question is whether North Korea responds or not.

Experts believe that North Korea is unlikely to respond to further investigations or joint investigations, as North Korea has sent out an unusually swift notice containing the supreme leader’s apology.
