Dangjin City fired two city council officials who were involved in the case, and the Ministry of Public Administration and Security launched an investigation into the supervision.

There are two officials in Dangjin, Chungcheongnam-do, who entered the cafeteria in the so-called ‘tusk’ state.

When the owner asked one of them to wear a mask correctly, the man deliberately went on to reveal his nose and mouth.

Dangjin City opened an emergency personnel committee and removed the two managers.

The reason for the disposition was explained that it was judged that it violated the rules of prevention of COVID-19 and seriously damaged the discipline of public office.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Security also initiated an inspection.

Staff from the departments related to public service discipline visited Dangjin City Hall to investigate public officials for more than two hours.

The discipline will be decided according to the results of the investigation of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security.

Dangjin City repeatedly apologized for this incident and announced that it will strengthen the implementation of service measures for all employees in order to establish public service discipline and prevent it from happening again.
