Democratic Party representative Jeong Jeong-soon, who was issued an arrest warrant for violating the Election of Public Office Law, voluntarily appeared at the prosecution yesterday morning.

Representative Jung said that he had never said that he would not attend the indictment and that he would be faithful to the investigation.

The prosecution executed the order and began a full-scale investigation.

Around 10:50 am, Representative Jeong-soon Jeong appeared at the Cheongju District Attorney’s Office.

Two days have passed since the National Assembly approved the arrest motion.

Representative Chung said that he would be investigated sincerely and said he regretted causing concern to the people and voters.

Furthermore, after saying that his desire to live as a clean politician remained unchanged, he turned to the interior of the prosecution.

Chung’s voluntary appearance is only three months after the prosecution’s first request for assistance.

Since August, the prosecution has asked Chung to attend eight times, but due to his personal schedule and National Assembly schedule, he refused.

The Cheongju District Court issued an arrest warrant nine hours after the National Assembly passed the arrest motion.

Assemblyman Chung is charged with violating the Public Officials Election Act, the Political Funds Act, and the Personal Information Protection Act.

The prosecution believes Jung committed accounting fraud and received illegal political money in the April 15 general election.

We are also accused of using illegally acquired volunteer center member information for elections.

Depending on the situation, there is a possibility that the prosecution is subject to precipitation, such as requesting an arrest warrant.

Apart from this investigation, the charges of violation of the electoral law, whose accusation status expired on the 15th, were delivered in the first instance to trial, and the first trial will take place on the 18th of the following month.
