When members of the vehicle club who witnessed the accident chased three vehicles, Army A abandoned the race and was captured by the police. In Daejeon, eight students under the age of 14 drove a stolen car and fled the police in March, but collided with a motorcycle and killed an 18-year-old driver. At the time, it was controversial because the students were under the age of 14 and could not be penalized.
