[사회]Yeoju Disabled Facilities 32 people, Gwangju Rehabilitation Hospital 135 people … “Infection management is poor”

There were more than 30 cumulative cases confirmed in three days at a residential center for the disabled in Yeoju, Gyeonggi-do.

The number of confirmed cases continues to rise at the Namyangju Nursing Home and Gwangju Rehabilitation Hospital in Gyeonggi-do.

The problem was an environment vulnerable to infection due to poor infection control and high patient density.

‘Raphael’s House’, a nursing facility for the severely disabled in Yeoju, Gyeonggi-do.

There is a notice on the iron door of the locked entrance that says that “Corona 19 prevents the entry of outsiders.”

From time to time, patient transport vehicles come and go.

The first confirmed case occurred on the 24th.

As this is a severely disabled facility that makes it difficult to exit, it is very likely that it was infected by an employee or visitor who had access.

In addition, there is concern about the spread of local communities, as additional confirmed cases continue to appear at Happy Sanctuary in Namyang-si, Gyeonggi Province, where the group infection occurred.

So far 59 cases have been confirmed.

There were confirmed cases in eight eups and dongs in Namyangju, and some schools were stopped when children and teenagers came out.

Even at the SRC rehabilitation hospital in Gwangju, Gyeonggi, where the cohort was isolated, the spread did not slow down after 10 days, so the total number increased to 135.

As a result of the epidemiological investigation, quarantine authorities had an infection control mess, such as failing to adequately control access to the public.

They analyzed that they were susceptible to infection due to the high concentration of patients in the room and the narrow space between beds.
