As the number of new confirmed cases dropped dramatically for two days in a row and various indicators improved, the effect of special quarantine measures that banned gatherings of five or more people seems to be slowly showing up.

However, concerns remain about group infections in nursing hospitals and the government has devised measures to improve it, such as changing the current method of isolating cohorts.

Ten days have passed since the application of strong quarantine measures that prohibit meals for more than 5 people since the 24th of last month.

During this period, the average number of confirmed local outbreaks per day was 948, similar to the previous one, but there have been notable changes in the last two days.

That’s a decrease of 216 and 147 per day.

The effect of reducing the number of vacations and inspections is also the effect, but it seems that the effect of banning meetings and meals for more than 5 people and closing ski resorts and places for sunrise appeared.

The weekend movement was the lowest in the last two months and the infectious reproduction index continued to fall, to around 1.

An emergency response team made up of experts like Heavy Water and Bang Dae-bon is dispatched to the site.

The PCR testing cycle for nursing hospital workers will be strengthened from 2 weeks to 1 week, and those who have been in high-risk areas such as weddings and funeral homes will go to work after receiving a rapid antigen test.

However, the government highlighted that the next two weeks are the decisive moment to achieve solid stability, noting that the Corona 19 trend continues to change and there is a lot of uncertainty.
