Doctors who have decided to temporarily stop group action are expected to continue with their group departure today (7th).
This is because the timing of return to medical treatment was not decided due to internal conflict, and the decision of medical students across the country not to take the national medical exam scheduled for tomorrow (8) appears to have had an impact.
Reporter Kim Joo-hwan reports.
As of today (7), the National Council of the Korean Majority announced that it would return to the field of medicine, and reversed its position after less than half a day.
This is because doctors and medical students in the field opposed the decision of the Daejeon Conference.
The Daejeon Association announced that it will hold a discussion meeting for all online specialties at 1pm today, maintaining the current status.
The reversal of the Daejeon Council’s position was influenced by the firm stance of medical students across the country that they would not take the national medical exam scheduled for tomorrow (8).
As approximately 90% of medical students previously expressed their willingness to decline the test, the government delayed the test start date from day one until tomorrow and extended the deadline to retake the test until midnight yesterday. .
In addition, the government has even announced that it will not extend the filing period any further.
It is unclear whether medical students will change their minds and comply with the national exam, despite those schedule adjustments.
Consequently, if there is a disruption in the hiring of future public health physicians and surgeons, as well as interns, there is concern that there will be an emergency in supply and demand for medical personnel this year.
