Is congestion on the Gwigyeong-gil expressway increasing in the afternoon?

The congestion of return vehicles heading to Seoul starts in the morning and shows the most frustrating trend since 1:00 pm so far.

Starting at 2:00 pm, the time it takes to get to the Seoul toll gate from major cities by car is 5 hours 30 minutes from Busan, 4 hours from Gwangju, 2 hours 20 minutes from Daejeon and 3 hours 20 minutes from Gangneung.

The Gyeongbu Line shows the most frustrating flow at the Cheongju interchange, the Oksan interchange, and the highway leading to Seoul.

On the West Coast Line, the Gunsan Interchange, the Dangjin ~ Seohae Bridge, and the Geumcheon Interchange are severely congested.

On the Yeongdong Line, cars travel relatively slowly near the Yeoju and Icheon service area in the direction of Incheon.

Initially, Road Traffic Corporation predicted that congestion would start around 9-10 am.

The total volume of traffic during the Chuseok holidays has decreased by 10-15% compared to last year, and the onset of congestion has also been delayed until 11 a.m.

This is good news for those who were concerned about ear congestion.

The congestion resolution time has also been pulled from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., which appears to be at the same level as Sunday.

As the holidays wind down, a procession of large-scale excursions continues.

In particular, congestion on the Yeongdong line is increasing markedly.

If you leave Seoul Tollgate by car at 2pm, it takes 3 hours and 10 minutes to get to Gangneung.

The Yeongdong Line goes to Gangneung and is congested at the Yongin Interchange, Hobeop Interchange, and Wonju Interchange.

Those going to the Gangwon area should continue to monitor traffic conditions.

So far, the Ministry of Social Affairs has handed it over.
