Yoon Seong-yeo, who was charged with the eighth case of the ‘Lee Chun-jae serial murder’, was acquitted after 32 years through a new court trial.

The police, prosecutors, and judges repeatedly apologized to Yoon, who had been incarcerated for 20 years.

The day the truth is revealed 32 years after the murder charge was written.

The defendant, Yoon Seong-yeo, sat in court with a nervous expression.

It took 30 minutes for the innocence to be revealed.

The court refuted the evidence that justified Yoon’s guilt at the time of the previous trial.

First, the confession statement that he had crossed the wall of the victim’s home ruled that he could not be seen as evidence because he did not fit in with Yoon, who was fighting polio.

In addition, the analysis of Mr. Yun’s body hair drew a line saying that the evaluation criteria were not reliable because the reasons were not clear.

Immediately after the verdict, the prosecution approached the defendant’s seat and bowed their heads, and the police apologized for stigmatizing an innocent person as a murderer through the front door.

The judges also admitted that Yun had committed an unfair prison sentence.

Outside the courtroom, the prison guards and acquaintances who aided Yun in the prison congratulated his innocence by handing him flowers.

Yoon also said that he was grateful for her innocence, but hoped that no one would be the victim of an unreasonable investigation.

During 20 years in prison, it was decided to claim damages from the state.

Yoon’s side has revealed that he will be held accountable to the end of the police officers and judges who were in charge of investigations and trials in the past, and the truth of the eighth case will continue to be revealed in the future.
