The court ruled that there was concern over the COVID-19 outbreaks, be it a vehicle rally or a rally, citing the dire quarantine situation after Liberation Day.

On the 3rd of the following month, the Seoul Administrative Court dismissed requests for a stay of execution by conservative groups that were notified of the ban on the Gaecheon Day assembly.

The court also upheld the police provision, which prohibited vehicle demonstrations.

The court ruled that even a set of vehicles could not completely rule out the possibility of exposure to the risk of COVID-19 outbreaks during preparation or dissolution.

However, the organizers indicated that they are not preparing any quarantine measure just because of the non-face-to-face meeting.

Furthermore, considering the fact that the Gwanghwamun assembly on Liberation Day has been extended to the large-scale illegal assembly, this vehicle demonstration is also out of the reported scope, and it is believed that there is a risk of serious confusion and danger. in urban traffic.

The organizers, who initially wanted to mobilize 200 vehicles, reviewed a plan to report the rally again with nine or fewer vehicles, but decided to abandon the plan first and discuss response plans with other organizations.

The court also dismissed the suspension of execution case that the August 15 Emergency Response Committee, which led the Liberation Day demonstration, requested that the assembly be held face to face with 1,000 people.

Also, considering the sporadic group infections that have occurred across the country since last month, they were concerned about the risk of further spread due to the assembly.

The non-capital part of 8/15, which had not been able to hold the rally, announced that immediately after the court decision, it would change the way the assembly was held at the beginning of the day with a one-man protest with multiple participation.
