Some conservative groups have announced that they will use a vehicle instead of a rally in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, on the opening day. The government also plans to ban vehicle rallies, saying it could be a trigger for Corona 19’s reproliferation, but other groups are still in a position to enforce the rally. Reporter Kim Kyung-soo reports. Some conservative groups that had announced the rally in Gwanghwamun, Seoul on the first day of the founding day changed their positions. He said that if the rally is held, the government will take responsibility for spreading Corona 19 and instead hold a rally with vehicles. Some groups have already informed the police saying that 200 vehicles will march from Yeouido in Seoul to Gangnam via Gwanghwamun on the afternoon of the opening day of the first day. While some political circles have argued that vehicle assembly will be fine as long as it does not interfere with quarantine and traffic, the government has a policy to ban the collection of 9 or more vehicles as it can be a spark for the reappearance of the infection. The result of a public opinion poll that says more than 70% of respondents say they oppose vehicle assembly due to quarantine, appears to be putting its force on government policy. However, the organization that led the Liberation Day rally did not change its intention to force it. On the 16th, when an assembly that had been denounced on a scale of 1,000 people was notified of the ban, it again submitted a report on a scale of 200 people. Police said the total number of reported gatherings in downtown Seoul on the first day of the year was about 40, and the total number of reported reports was more than 200,000.
