The late Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon’s sexual harassment victim sued the police over the fact that a handwritten letter sent to Mayor Park while he was in office was revealed without permission. The civic groups filed a complaint with the Korean National Human Rights Commission, alleging that the human rights violations of the victims were serious. Reporter Park Hee-jae reports. On the 23rd, three handwritten photos posted on Facebook. Along with the birthday celebration, there are phrases that express gratitude and affection, and content that we are saddened by not seeing for a long time due to our visits abroad. This is a letter sent to Mayor Park, when a victim of sexual harassment from the late Mayor Park Won-soon was serving in Seoul. It was revealed through personal accounts by Min-woong Kim, an advisor to the Seoul Citizens’ University, and Kyung-guk Min, a former Seoul personnel planning secretary, among whom the real name of the victim was briefly exposed in the Kim’s account. They said the victim was making a one-sided argument and posted a post to refute it. The victims strongly criticized this. Even the victim’s family is threatened with daily life, such as receiving confirmation calls from acquaintances. Less than a month has passed since the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced its countermeasures to eradicate sexual harassment. He then sued former Secretary Min and Commissioner Kim to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Citizen organizations also filed a complaint with the Korean National Human Rights Commission, alleging that Min’s secretary, etc., violated the private lives of victims by disclosing handwritten letters. The results of the Human Rights Commission’s investigation into all of Park’s allegations of sexual harassment are expected to be known early next year.
