The number of new confirmed corona 19 cases was 615, reaching the 600 mark on the second day.

The quarantine authorities have diagnosed that if it is the current trend, next week more than 900 confirmed cases will be released, and now it is the entry stage and the biggest crisis in the Corona 19 pandemic.

First, at noon today, the current status of the main domestic outbreaks was announced, right?

First, an additional 36 people were confirmed to be related to Pagoda Town, a restaurant in Jongno-gu, Seoul, resulting in a total of 112.

There are 85 people involved in the restaurant, 15 family members and the remaining 12 people are acquaintances and colleagues.

A total of 42 confirmed cases were added to Dongdaemun-gu hospital, Seoul.

In Gaegun-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, 28 people were added during the contact investigation, a total of 48 people, all of whom are residents.

76 more people were confirmed at Nam-gu Nursing Hospital in Ulsan, resulting in a total of 92 cases.

Including the first patient, 15 nursing workers, 9 employees and 68 patients tested positive.

A new outbreak is also emerging.

Since the first confirmation on the 28th of last month at the Department of Otolaryngology in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, 17 people have been added, a total of 18.

There are 3 hospital workers, 7 patients and 8 families.

In a nursing home in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, 17 patients were added from the first patient on day 5, a total of 18.

In a company located in Geoje, Gyeongnam, 12 people were added after the first confirmed on day 4, and the cumulative number of confirmed patients is 13.

At 0 o’clock today, there were 615 new confirmed cases, which is around 600 on the second day.

By looking at the infection route, 580 people occurred in Korea and 35 incoming people.

In terms of national outbreaks by region, there were 422 in Seoul alone, 231 in Seoul, 154 in Gyeonggi, and 37 in Incheon.

Four more deaths were added to the cumulative 549, and the number of seriously ill patients increased from one to 126.

This is what Na Seong-woong, head of the first vice president of the Central Defense Response Headquarters, said at today’s regular briefing.

The current infection reproductive rate is 1.23, which means that the number of patients continues to increase.

Meanwhile, the experts’ mathematical modeling results indicate that if the current trend continues, there is a potential of 550 to 750 patients this week and more than 900 patients next week.

It is then assessed to be the largest crisis since the introduction of Corona 19 in Korea, and the current epidemic is not a temporary national, regional situation, but an ongoing one.

After reinforcing social distancing, the amount of movement has decreased by more than 20%, but the patient’s downward trend is unclear.

He stressed that efforts are being made to avoid problems with bed safety, especially in intensive care units, which is the biggest problem when entering the pandemic.

Quarantine authorities also decided to follow three strategies to improve quarantine.

The first is to increase the number of epidemiological investigations and the second is to introduce a rapid antigen test and a PCR test using saliva samples for preventive tests.

In addition, we are promoting a plan to install a large-scale direct access inspection station so that office workers and youth in the metropolitan area can receive inspections quickly.

Third, it was decided to adjust the criteria for decontaining confirmed patients for efficient use of quarantine beds.
