Former Blue House Anti-Corruption Secretary Park Hyung-cheol testified in court that he stopped the inspection of former Busan Deputy Mayor Yoo Jae-soo under the direction of former Justice Minister Cho Kook.

At the time, he refuted Cho’s claim that former Deputy Mayor Yoo’s charges were substantiated, but that it was resolved on the resignation line under the leadership of former Minister Cho.

In 2017, former Blue House anti-corruption secretary Hyung-cheol Park, who directly inspected abuses by former Busan deputy mayor Yoo Jae-soo, attended the court.

He was tried as an accomplice of former Justice Minister Cho Kook, but this time he came out as a witness from the prosecution’s side to test the accused.

Whenever he appeared in court, former Minister Cho, who had prepared in advance, spared his words.

Former Secretary Park testified that it was the decision of former Minister Cho, who was Min Jeong’s chief executive, to stop the inspection of former Deputy Mayor Yoo Jae-soo.

At the time, the life-saving campaign was carried out vigorously through former Civil Service Secretary Won-woo Baek, and later, former Minister Cho said that he had decided to fix it in accordance with his resignation.

At the time, he also said that the prosecution alone proved much of the charges of receiving money and other property from the former vice mayor.

It is testimony that completely contradicts former Minister Cho’s claim that the inspection was terminated due to the weak motives of unsuspecting intelligence.

In particular, he highlighted that it was unprecedented to notify the Financial Services Commission to which former Vice Chancellor Yoo belonged to only receive the resignation by phone without notifying the facts of the misconduct.

Former Minister Cho refuted that while former Deputy Mayor Yoo’s allegations could be suspected, the data was not secure enough and that it was difficult to continue with the inspections because the parties did not respond.

For former Deputy Mayor Yoo, it was difficult to say that this was a systematic corruption of a power type, and he only suggested impeachment, and supported former Minister Cho.
