Will the police install a car wall in Gwanghwamun today?

[기자]

Today, there are no barriers installed in Gwanghwamun.

The police dismantled all the car walls and fences installed in the Gwanghwamun area yesterday, Hangul day, starting at 4:30 pm yesterday.

This is because there does not appear to be an illegal demonstration with more than 10 people today.

Of course, some conservative groups are expected to meet today.

The total rally number reported in the Seoul area today is 1,193.

The police notified the ban on gathering 132 cases, of which 10 or more were reported in the prohibited area.

Conservative groups that denounced a massive assembly of more than 1,000 people, such as the one on August 15 and Free Solidarity, also decided not to hold a rally today in response to the police ban.

However, an individual’s protests that do not require prior notice and are not subject to notice of a ban are expected to develop sporadically.

Moreover, rallies with fewer than 10 vehicles reported by some conservative groups are scheduled in various locations in central Seoul.

It is scheduled to run from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in 6 sections, including Mapo, Sadang, and Dobongsan in Seoul.

As there is the potential for sporadic one-person protests to spill over into large-scale gatherings, the police are preparing for unexpected situations, focusing on the main locations where the rally was reported.
