Through the lawyer, he gave only a brief position that he had decided not to appeal again, saying that he humbly accepted the ruling.

The special prosecutor, who had been fighting until the last minute, desisted from appealing again, saying that he judged that the decision of the remand court had followed the purpose of the Supreme Court decision.

Compared to nine-year imprisonment, Vice President Lee’s punishment is lighter, but under the Criminal Procedure Act, only the death penalty, life imprisonment, imprisonment for more than 10 years, and imprisonment can be challenged again. .

In the end, it is interpreted to mean that neither party saw any benefit to be gained, even if the Supreme Court judged them once more.

Consequently, the two years and six months in prison sentenced to Vice President Lee for repatriation or destruction were confirmed.

After being arrested in February 2017, Vice President Lee has already served approximately one year and the actual remaining sentence is approximately one and a half years.
