In March, quarantine authorities analyzed that the risk of infection would increase.

The number of cases of mutant virus infection, which is known to have stronger infectivity, is increasing and was also cited as a factor that increased the opening of schools and decreased awareness due to the reduction in distance.

Quarantine authorities cited a rapidly spreading mutant virus as the most important key to preventing the spread of Corona 19 in the future.

This is because the number of infections caused by the mutant virus continues to rise from 119 in the third week of February to 156 as of March 1.

Currently, the number of mutant virus infections in the UK and South Africa is 133 and 17, respectively, and the number of mutant virus infections in Brazil is 6.

Although PCR testing is mandatory and quarantine and testing are enforced for all foreign visitors, concerns are not diminishing.

There are also studies showing that vaccines that have just started to be vaccinated in Korea are ineffective against mutations.

The government plans to administer school quarantine, such as the wearing of masks and a ban on private gatherings, so that quarantine on campus is fully implemented.

Another problem is that as the number of contacts has increased due to decreased distancing, group infections continue throughout the country.

In particular, small and medium-sized workplaces with enclosed spaces and an increase in confirmed cases of foreign workers were also cited as risk factors for the spread of infection.

Quarantine authorities repeatedly urged them to comply with quarantine rules, saying the risk of infection could increase due to an increase in travel or meetings starting this month when the day ends.
