This is in front of the community center in Daechi-dong, where many school districts are located.

An emergency screening clinic was set up today to test the academy instructors, and the test began at 10 am.

It is still early, so not many instructors with around 20 visiting this screening clinic.

Gangnam-gu operates the Daechi-dong screening clinic from 10 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday for a month from today.

We are planning to conduct a full-scale corona 19 test on over 20,000 academy instructors down the hall.

The subjects of this test are school teachers belonging to 3.75 schools, including 40 large academies with more than 300 people and 1,600 small and medium-sized academies.

As there are many cases where an instructor is enrolled in multiple academies, it is expected that there will be fewer than 20,000 actual test subjects.

Of course, instructors are not required to self-isolate as they are not subject to inspection due to close contact.

The district office explained that there is a concern about asymptomatic infections in the academies before the SAT test which is about a month and a half left.

In particular, Daechi-dong academy has many students in the metropolitan area except Seoul, so it is important to block the infection early, according to a district official.

To block the academy foot infection just prior to the SAT, tests are conducted in the order of instructors from entrance and large exam academies, followed by small and medium academies and private classrooms.

The direct background of this test is the outbreak of infection in a large academy.

An academy instructor who was teaching second and third grade students at a large entrance examination academy in Daechi-dong was confirmed on the 19th, and there was tension throughout the school district.

Sixty students, including academy students and private tutoring students, were classified as close contact and went into self-isolation after a diagnostic test, but thankfully all tested negative on the first test.

All 15 schools attended by instructor-led students stopped attending school and monitored test results.

The district office said that when other cases of cluster infection emerged, 90 asymptomatic infections were found through testing of random samples, and this time, it plans to preventively rule out infected targets through preventive examination by institute instructors.

However, as the test is done autonomously, the instructors requested the test themselves.
