Influenza vaccination has started for people aged 62 to 69 years.

However, the hospital was relatively busy and some people are hesitant to get the vaccine even though they are eligible for the free vaccination.

An internal medicine clinic in Ngam-dong, Seoul.

It is the first day of the free vaccine for people 62 to 69 years old, so the elderly are gradually visited.

[윤미화 / 서울 응암동 : 정부에서도 맞으라고 얘기를 하니까 정부를 믿고, 특히 정은경 본부장님 많이 믿고 따르니까.] [윤옥길 / 서울 불광동 : 조금 걱정은 됐는데, 정부가 국민을 위해서 하라는데 ‘무슨 일이 있을까?’ 이런 생각 안 하고 그냥 맞았어요.]

However, as death cases continued after vaccination, the number of visitors dropped to one-tenth.

This is a very different scenario than a week ago when we even made a waiting number ticket.

The same goes for other internal medicine clinics.

This is a refrigerator for vaccines in the hospital.

The refrigerator is full of products, as you can see, as the number of people who come to get the free flu shot drops dramatically.

Instead, we constantly ask about the availability of paid vaccine products and whether there are vaccines imported from abroad.

There are many seniors who are eligible for the free flu vaccine, but will not be.

[만 62∼69세 무료 독감 대상자 : 젊은 친구들은 맞았어요. 근데 우리는 나이가 있잖아요. 면역이 떨어지잖아요. 그러다 보니까 내가 될 수도 있잖아요. 그래서 안 맞고 싶은 생각이에요.]

Experts advised against excessive anxiety, but advised checking the condition first in the hospital before vaccinating.

To date, more than 1.4 million people have been vaccinated against the flu, of which about 10 million are free.
