A mother accused of killing her 16-month-old daughter for habitual abuse was brought to trial. The baby suffered violence from the mother to the point that he suffered a fracture throughout his body, and on the day of his death it was found that he had died after being beaten to such an extent that his pancreas was amputated. Reporter Jeong Hyun-woo. The prosecution formally charged A, the mother of a 16-month-old baby, on charges of child abuse and death. The assault on the adopted daughter in January began in June and continued. The autopsy of the fractures in the occipital, clavicle and femur of the deceased boy showed that the moment at which they occurred was all different and there were bruises all over the body, including the side and stomach. The direct cause of death for the boy who died in October after the ongoing assault was extensive bleeding from the amputation of organs such as the pancreas. The prosecution explained that on the day of his death, Mr. A inflicted a severe impact on his little daughter’s back, causing her death. Mr. A explained that the boy was angry because he was not eating well, hit his stomach with his hand and died from shaking and dropping his daughter. The prosecution believes that Mr. A adopted and raised a child without much concern, but was stressed and began to abuse. However, Mr. A has denied all charges except for some assault and negligence in striking the ship on the day of his death. Even if the prosecution knew about the abuse of his wife and the deterioration of the child’s health, the husband, who did not take any action, brought charges of neglect and abandonment of the child and handed him over to trial.
