A private hospital in Osong, North Chungcheong province, has been designated as a ‘dedicated hospital’ for corona patients19 for the first time in an area outside the capital.

It means that 120 additional beds have been secured, which is still insufficient given the unbroken leisure trend.

It is a specialized burn hospital in Osong, Cheongju, Chungbuk.

It is a 220-bed hospital, inaugurated in 2018, and has been designated as an exclusive hospital for the corona19 base for the first time in non-metropolitan areas.

As hospital beds for seriously ill patients were in short supply across the country, the hospital emptied all beds and announced its intention to support them.

To ensure space, the number of beds will be reduced to 120 and a separate facility will be provided between patients.

The government has decided to cooperate as much as possible with the necessary equipment and personnel.

The number of beds dedicated to seriously ill Corona 19 patients, which was just 250 a week ago, has recently increased to 380 as equipment and staff are supplemented.

The number of immediate hospital beds during the same period increased from 48 to 88 in 25 days.

However, in the case of the Chungcheong area, where the number of patients is increasing rapidly, there are only three beds that can be hospitalized and there are still not enough beds in Jeonbuk, Jeonnam, Gyeongbuk and Daejeon.

Of the 285 critically ill treatment beds that are not dedicated hospitals, only 10 are immediately available.
