The medical institution that treated this woman reported to the authorities as the first suspected case of reinfection in Korea after investigating whether it was re-positive or reinfection.
Re-positive is a case in which a fragment of the virus that remains in the patient’s body is detected by a PCR test, and reinfection has a difference of significance, as it is confirmed again after healing.
Reinfection is a rare case, with 5 cases still reported worldwide.
However, the reason quarantine authorities determined that reinfection was possible is because the corona virus 19 mutates like the flu.
