The LOTTE courier union has gone on an indefinite strike demanding increased allowances and a general improvement in the sorting process.

Lotte Courier said that out of 10,000 drivers, only 2.5% participated in the strike, so there would be no interruptions in delivery.

About 100 LOTTE courier drivers with red head bands gathered at the Seoul Complex Logistics Center.

Along with a large tent, there was also a situation room for indefinite camps.

They went on strike indefinitely.

“The courier’s Employment Guarantee Agency is in charge! Fight!”

The union noted that instead of increasing the delivery allowance, which had received 968 won per box, Lotte Courier had cut nearly 150 won in three years.

On the other hand, delivery volume has skyrocketed and drivers are in mortal danger if they deliver until 4am and 5am.

Furthermore, they demanded that Lotte Courier be the only company that pays between 10 and 200,000 won for the loading and unloading of packages to couriers.

At the same time, he filed six demands, such as improving the classification process and abolishing the sanctions system, and announced that the strike will continue until the problem is resolved.

In response, Lotte Courier replied that it had already decided to employ 1,000 sorting people and that it had taken steps to abolish loading and unloading charges and the penalty system.

They stated that there were no allocation cuts.

It is that the subsidies granted to agencies that have been scarce have only been reduced due to the normalization of the amount.
