12 years ago, Cho Doo-soon, who kidnapped an 8-year-old elementary school student and brutally raped him, will be released tomorrow (12).

There is an opinion that Cho Doo-soon should take medication, saying that there is no reflection and nothing has changed.

It was recently reported in the media, saying that this is the testimony of Jo Doo-soon’s prison motive.

When concerns were raised that Cho Doo-soon was an “excessive sexual desire”, the Ministry of Justice even released explanatory data saying it was “unconfirmed content”.

It is a one-sided claim that other inmates saw Cho Doo-soon’s daily life in a single room, and that there have been no incidents of obscene acts.

He also explained that 69-year-old Jo Doo-soon does a thousand push-ups and trains her physical strength as an exaggerated expression.

However, it is true that he said: ‘The electromagnetic waves from CCTV are bothering you.’

I am concerned that my condition remains unstable even after hundreds of hours of psychological therapy.

Cho Doo-soon wears an electronic anklet for 7 years after his release and is under close surveillance 24 hours a day by a dedicated parole officer.

However, it is also claimed that it would be better to take a drug for the sex drive known as “chemical castration.”

Sex drive drug treatment, which weakens sexual function by injecting drugs to sex offenders at high risk of recidivism, has received 49 patients in total since the system was implemented, and there have been no cases of recidivism.

However, Doo-soon Cho was not subject to the application because his sentence was confirmed before 2011 when this system was implemented.

A bill that would allow forced drug treatment for sex offenders who are about to be released from prison was also proposed in late October, but it has been delayed and has no meaning.

Although the measures that could have been applied to Cho Doo-soon have been removed, some point out that caution should be exercised.

If you do not change the psychological state of Cho Doo-soon, who denies the crime and does not even reflect on it, you are worried about the adverse effects.

If Cho Doo-soon has not changed for 12 years, it is questionable whether the preparations after Cho Doo-soon emerged as a society were correct.
