There are six clubs and restaurants that are temporarily closed in this 30-meter alley.
As of 12:00 noon today, the number of confirmed students at the Itaewon Club is 86 across the country.
In Seoul alone, 21 people increased during the day and, starting at 10:00 a.m. Today, there are 51 confirmed people related to the club.
In Gyeonggi-do, there were 21 patients who visited the Itaewon Club or contacted the club’s confirmers.
Additionally, 7 Incheon, 5 Chungbuk, 1 Busan and 1 Jeju have been confirmed.
By way of infection, 63 confirmed people visited the Itaewon Club in person, and 23 infected people with relatives and acquaintances.
There have been no cases of tertiary transmission.
As the majority of Itaewon club users are young people between the ages of 20 and 30, 34% of confirmed patients have been found to be asymptomatic.
If infected people who have not yet been identified reuse entertainment facilities such as clubs, it can lead to secondary and tertiary infections.
To prevent further infection, Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Incheon, where most of the Itaewon Club infections occurred, ordered to ban clubs and entertainment facilities, such as emotional taverns.
However, similar entertainment facilities, called ‘Hunting Pocha’, where many people gather in a closed space to drink and dance, are still open.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government is also trying to ensure that the 7 anti-corruption rules are thoroughly followed by hunting restaurants, liquor stores and similar entertainment establishments.
