When entering the country from abroad, you have to isolate yourself for two weeks.

You can stay in guesthouses or short-term rental accommodations that are not nationally designated facilities, and YTN reported that these accommodations are blind spots for quarantine.

Even if quarantines break quarantine rules or even go out to drink alcohol, the establishment will close its eyes.

A 29-room guesthouse in Seoul where overseas self-quarantines stay.

It is a 7 story building and the front door is wide open for anyone to enter.

When I went up to the roof, cigarette butts were piled up to see if they were used as smoking areas, and there were clothes in the dryer.

There is also a notice on the guesthouse blog asking you to go up to the roof and smoke.

This place accepts both regular guests and self-isolators, leaving quarantines outside the room.

They even say that they close their eyes when visiting the market or drinking alcohol.

In the case of a short stay, foreign immigrants are transferred to a designated facility, but if they have their own house or accommodation to stay, they can use any place they want.

Each local government management team says that it is difficult to detect one by one, even if they go out for a while or use the internal smoking area, although they do carry out an emergency check to see if there are deserters.

[관할 구청 관계자 : 위치정보를 파악하고는 있지만, 계속 옆에서 대기를 하거나 보초를 서는 건 아니잖아요. 대신 신고 들어오면 나가기도 하고, 그렇게는 하고 있어요.]
