Democratic Party lawmaker Yoon Mi-hyang held a meeting with several people at a restaurant and apologized on the 13th for the controversy after revealing a photo of him drinking wine without a mask.
Representative Yoon recently posted a photo of a meal with five acquaintances at a restaurant on the 7th on his SNS. In the photo, the participants, including Representative Yun, pose without masks, each holding glasses of wine, looking at the camera, and toasting. In an article posted together, Assemblyman Yun said, “ Grandma Gil’s birthday is etched on her empty chest and we gather to celebrate and wish good health. I wrote ‘food while sharing dream stories’.
In this regard, some pointed out that the food gathering was inappropriate when Crown 19 spread rapidly and it is necessary to engage in social distancing.
Representative Yoon deleted the controversial photo and posted an explanation. He explained, “Monday, December 7, was Gil Won-ok’s 94th birthday,” he said. “But I couldn’t even convey congratulations because there was no way to find us because I couldn’t locate them right now.” He said: “It turned out to be a thoughtless act to share sadness and longing at dinner with my acquaintances,” he said.
However, he said, “I followed the quarantine guidelines carefully when using the restaurant” and “Once again I will reflect deeply and take an example to overcome Corona 19.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Abuela Gil’ mentioned by Representative Yoon is also a victim claimed by the Prosecutor’s Office on charges of embezzlement and quasi-fraud of donations to the Justice Memoria Solidaria, where Representative Yoon is being processed and tried. Prosecutors estimate that Yoon made a donation of 79.2 million won to the group nine times from November 2017 to January 2020, using the mental and physical disability of Gil’s grandmother, who suffered from severe dementia. Eui-yeon Eui-yeon said, “Gil’s dementia symptoms were not as severe during the period, and donations were made at his own discretion.”
In this regard, Hyeon-jin Bae, a spokesperson for the People’s Power, made a comment that day and told Congressman Yoon, “You seem to be making fun of your grandmother out of resentment at being judged. He insisted. Spokesman Bae also said: “Isn’t it time for the Democratic Party to forcibly end the opposition party’s obstructionism, saying it is a coronavirus crisis,” he said.
