Yes, Italian health officials said the number of new confirmed cases was 24.36 per day in the fifth local time.

On a daily basis, it was the highest in three months since the end of November last year.

As a result, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Italy exceeded 3 million.

If you look at the World Omometer international statistics website, there are about 3,023,000 people at 10am.

Italy’s cumulative number of confirmed cases surpassed the 3 million mark just one year and one month after the first local infection was reported in February last year.

So far, it is the eighth country with a cumulative number of confirmed cases of 3 million, after the United States, India, Brazil, Russia, the United Kingdom, France and Spain.

In Italy, UK mutations are spreading rapidly in recent years and the total number of corona patients is increasing.

Since the 1st of this month, it has risen for 5 days in a row, and since the 3rd, it has reached the 20,000 mark for 3 consecutive days.

Some experts have analyzed that the third epidemic has already started.

Yes, Hans Cluj, the WHO Regional Director for Europe, warned that the number of new cases in Europe has been declining for the sixth week in a row and then increasing again.

The WHO classifies the European region into 53 countries, including Russia and some Central Asian countries.

Cluj said the number of new cases in Europe increased by 9% last week to more than 1 million, ending the six-week decline.

He explains that the number of new cases increased in more than half of 53 countries.

The countries showing a relatively larger increase are Italy, France, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary and Poland.

Director Cluj has repeatedly called for increased alertness and response to the mutant virus, which is known to be more infectious.

So far, the International Department has complied.
