In the first week of November, apartment rents in Seoul rose 0.12% from the previous week, continuing the upward streak for 71 consecutive weeks.

As the jeonse crisis intensifies, even apartment prices in the metropolitan area and major regions are reeling, and the rise is increasing.

In particular, the prices of apartments in Gimpo soared 1.94%. In the metropolitan area, the increase was pronounced in areas that were not regulated, and local home prices like Busan are also fluctuating.

As a result, weekly apartment prices across the country rose 0.17% from the previous week, registering the largest increase in four months after the fourth week of June, just after the announcement of the real estate measures on 17 of June.

This appears to be because tenants tired of the cheonsei crisis are turning to selling mid- to low-priced apartments, driving up the price of their homes.
