King’s News: Marvin Bagley suffered a right foot injury in practice on Sunday

The Sacramento Kings have been unable to take a break in Orlando. After his star point guard, De’Aaron Fox, suffered an ankle injury in practice on Wednesday, his sophomore forward and former No. 2 general pick Marvin Bagley III suffered an injury to his right foot in practice on Sunday, the team announced Monday.

Bagley has appeared in just 13 games for the Kings this season due to injuries. On opening night, he suffered a broken thumb that kept him out of the game for nearly two months. Then, in December, he suffered an injury to his left foot that worsened after just four games. He has not appeared in a game for the Kings since January.

The hope was that the six months he had to recover would be enough to have a healthy season in Orlando, but apparently he and the Kings are bitten by snakes.

After practicing Monday, Luke Walton said Bagley hurt his foot by landing on someone’s foot on his way down after grabbing an offensive rebound. Walton said the team has no further updates at this time.

Bagley has averaged 14.2 points per game with 46.7% shooting from the field, and 7.5 rebounds per game, while averaging 25.7 minutes per game.
