Johnny Depp’s attorneys question the authenticity of Amber Heard’s photos: report

Johnny Depp’s attorneys on Friday challenged the authenticity of photos showing Amber Heard’s bruised face, in an attempt to demean claims that the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star threw him a cell phone, according to media reports. .

Heard took selfies to document the red marks on his right eye on May 21, 2016, after a violent tiebreaker with Depp about who had shit in the couple’s bed a month earlier.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star previously testified in the explosive defamation suit in London High Court that her marriage went to the bathroom after Heard or her friend defecated in her bed as a joke. The actress has denied this.

Depp’s team questioned whether the images had been retouched or taken on another date, according to Sky News.

Lawyers for The Sun, whom Depp is suing for calling him a “handcuff puncher” in a 2018 article, said their expert examined the images’ internal and external metadata and saw no evidence of tampering.

The judge urged the parties to proceed with the trial. He said he would decide Monday whether the issue warranted further analysis.

In earlier testimony Friday, Depp’s old friend Isaac Baruch said he saw Heard the day after the cruel fight and saw no marks on his face. He called the photos “false false”.

Depp has denied that he abused Heard, claiming that she was responsible for all the violence in his marriage.
