V3t, 31, was released by the Houston Texans, who granted his request on Feb. 12, ending a 10-year end with the franchise.
Four days later, Wanderer’s former Texans teammate and current Cardinals wide receiver, Dandre Hopkins, posted a photo of himself and Watt on a photo pedestal in a Cardinals uniform with the caption: “Let’s finish what we started …”
Watt, who was the Texans ‘defensive back coach during Watt’s first three seasons in Houston, will rejoin the Cardinals’ defensive coordinator, Vance Joseph.
In Arizona, Watt will be paired with fellow pass-rusher Chandler Jones, who has led the NFL in the sacks since he was placed in the first round in 2012 with dra 97. The second quarter in this period is 95.5.
ESPN According to statistics and data, in 2020, the vote ranks 15th out of 119 qualified pass-runners qualified in the Pass Rush Win Rate. He finished the season with five sacks, two forced and a hurdle and returned for a touchdown. He has suffered from injuries recently, having played 16 games only twice in the season since 2015.
He became the face of the franchise after being drafted by the Texans in 2011 with a choice of No. 11, winning three NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards from 2012 to ’15. Watt is one of three players to have won that award three times.
The five-time Pro Bowl selection and five-time first-team All-Pro was the most productive pass-rusher in history with 101 career sacks.
