James Franco asked Amber Heard after Depp allegedly threw the phone at her face

James Franco allegedly asked Amber Heard “what the hell happened to his face after she claimed Johnny Depp threw a phone at her, as new disturbing photos of the bruises emerged in a British court Tuesday.

The “Adderall Diaries” actor visited Heard in his Los Angeles penthouse on May 22, 2016, the day after the violent dispute with her then-husband, according to testimony in Depp’s successful defamation case.

“We were talking. He was saying ‘oh my gosh, what happened to you? I heard about Franco, 42, who Depp apparently accused of being his lover.

“[Franco] I saw my face … when I let him in. He saw my face and said ‘what the hell?’ ”

Heard, 34, was seen red and slightly bloated in new photos taken after fighting Depp, 57, about who he defecated in his bed a month earlier.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star was accused of throwing a phone at his then-wife during the encounter, a claim he denies.

His lawyers questioned Heard on Tuesday about the photos’ authenticity, referring to earlier claims by witnesses who said they didn’t see any bruises.

One of his lawyers, Eleanor Laws, said that Isaac Baruch, a friend of Depp’s who lived in the building, saw Heard “without injury” the same as Franco visited.

“I don’t know what Mr. Baruch saw,” Heard told the court.

The lawyer then referred to the testimony of former Heard interior designer Laura Divenere, who said the actress only appeared “red from crying.”

“I think he said it looked like he was crying … he didn’t say he saw me cry,” Heard said.

Heard testified that Depp was abusive to her more than a dozen times and said Tuesday that she was “petrified of the monster Johnny could become.”

The Oscar nominee has vehemently denied all assault charges stemming from her tumultuous marriage, claiming that it was “she who was violent with him.”

But in a written statement Tuesday, Heard rejected claims that she was physically aggressive towards Depp during their relationship.

“This is not true. It is true that I had to use my body and my limbs to protect myself from Johnny’s violence and abuse,” Heard said, according to the Daily Mail.

She claimed that when the “Edward Scissorhands” star used phrases like “punches” and “punches” that she often referred to verbal insults.

“As someone who surrounded himself with people and created a life that meant he never had to face criticism or critical comment of any kind, Johnny often even referred to criticism perceived as ‘hitting’, ‘hitting’ or ‘right hooks’ ” she continued, the outlet reported.

Depp is suing over the publication of a 2018 article that was published in The Sun and labeled him as a “handcuff puncher”.
