Ellen DeGeneres was to star in ‘Speed’
Fans of 90s action movies Speed Very fond of the chemistry between Bullock and Keenu Reeves. According to DeGeneres, however, she was supposed to have a lead role in the movie, but Bullock dropped it instead.
There were rumors that, originally, DeGeneres was supposed to play a funny sidekick in the movie, but they changed the character and the role went to Bullull.
During the interview, Bull was asked about the movie, in which DeGeneres said, “It was for me and you took the role.” He added, “That’s right.”

The two noted the mention that DeGeneres was going to play the original role and Bullock introduced what he remembered in the shooting.
“I think Kenu Reeves was so sweet and so beautiful,” Ballock said. “It was difficult. It was really hard for me to be really serious. He would look at me and I would [giggle]”

Bullock called Reeves his “first celebrity crush.”
Reeves also had a crush on her co-star, as DeGeneres shared Bullock’s interview with her on her show in 2019 and admitted, “She clearly didn’t know I had a crush on her.”
As to why they didn’t get together, he explained, “We were working!”, But said it’s a pleasure to be around Bull. “It felt good to go to work. She is such a wonderful person, such a wonderful actress.

During the interview, DeGeneres told Reeves that it might be his Speed Co-star, something she didn’t seem to know.
“Speed Originally written for me, you know? This is a true story. And Sandra Bullock will tell you, ”DeGeneres explained.
He continued, “So the person who wrote it Speed It was written with me in mind and then Sandy participated but it would be you and me and it would be … it would be phenomenal. “
If Reeves had a hard time portraying anyone but introduced Bull as his co-star, DeGeneres would have played him a clip of how things would have been different if she had been driving the bus. Naturally, there is a humorous element, but the ending of this film would also be very different.
