‘IPhone 12’ event on September 8 with ‘Apple Glass’ and Apple Silicon Mac revealed on October 27, says filter

Apple’s main “iPhone 12” presentation will take place on September 8 and a subsequent iPad Pro and Apple Silicon Mac event will take place on October 27, according to a well-known filter.

According to an Apple filter, the Cupertino tech giant will announce the new “iPhone 12” line, as well as the new Apple Watch and iPad models, at an online-only event on Tuesday, September 8.

The filter, known by the name of “ihacktu,” also alleges that Apple will reveal some version of AirPower in the main event. Although the first version of AirPower was scrapped, there have been rumors that the company is developing an improved variant for launch.

As Apple has done in recent years, iHacktu also says that the company will hold an iPad Pro-specific event on Tuesday, October 27. That event may or may not be a virtual presentation.

Along with a new generation of iPad Pro, the filter claims that Apple will launch the first Apple Silicon Mac models at the event, including a “MacBook” and a 13-inch MacBook Pro.

The dates align with Apple’s main deadlines in recent years, and iHacktu has a history of being generally reliable.

What to Expect in Apple’s Key Notes in Fall 2020

Apple is expected to launch four new models as part of its “iPhone 12” line. Specifically, it could include a lower priced 5.4-inch “iPhone 12”, a 6.1-inch “iPhone 12 Plus”, a 6.1-inch “iPhone 12 Pro” and a 6.8-inch “iPhone 12 Pro Max”. All four models are believed to have OLED displays and 5G connectivity. Lower-tier models are rumored to have a dual camera setup and 4GB of RAM, while Pro models could come equipped with a triple-lens camera, a 120Hz ProMotion display, and 6GB of RAM.

A new wearable device, the “Apple Watch Series 6”, is rumored to feature improved water resistance, a larger battery to help make way for sleep tracking and other updates. There’s not much information on the new entry-level and mid-level iPad models, though previous reports have suggested that Apple will introduce a 10.8-inch iPad Air and a new mini iPad.

The Cupertino tech giant may also have solved the overheating issues that ultimately ended with the first, unreleased version of AirPower. According to filter Jon Prosser, a new AirPower “C68” prototype equipped with an Apple A11 chip is being tested. We haven’t heard much about the possibility of a debut in 2020, although it is possible.

Although Apple already released iPad Pro models in 2020, some rumors claim that another generation with 5G support and mini-LED displays could be announced in the second half of the year or early 2021. Along with the iPad Pro, we expect Apple to launch the first batch of Apple Silicon Macs, which could include a 13.3-inch MacBook Pro and an update to the now discontinued 12-inch MacBook.

“Apple Glass” has also been previously rumored for release in 2020. Prosser has said the product will cost $ 499 and may be compatible with recipes. Instead of a full AR replacement for an iPhone, the first-generation glasses would be designed to be an accessory for a smartphone.
