Intelligence community has delivered nearly 20 classified election threatening letters to Trump, Biden, RNC, DNC, Congress

The U.S. Intelligence Community has provided nearly 20 classified letters to both President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden since mid-May, political committees and members of Congress on election threats, Fox News has learned.

An official from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence told Fox News that the Director of the National Center for Counterintelligence and Security, within ODNI, Bill Evanina, is leading the election campaign.

ODNI TO ACTION REQUIRED REQUIRED TRAFFIC FOR BOTH PARTIES IN A RUN-UP TO NOVEMBER

The briefings were handed over to the Trump campaign, the Biden campaign, the Republican National Committee, the Democratic National Committee and all members of Congress – including members of the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, and congressional leadership.

The official told Fox News that the briefings are being led by Evanina and his team, but said the FBI and Homeland Security officials and other agencies are frequently present.

“The steps we have taken so far to inform the public and other stakeholders about election threats are unusual for the Intelligence Community,” Evanina’s office said in a statement. “We will continue to provide updates.”

Evanina was tapped in May to discuss short-term presidential candidates, her campaigns and key political parties over election security threats. The intelligence community’s defensive briefings come after it was determined by US intelligence agencies that Russia intervened in the 2016 elections.

ODNI ‘PRIMARILY CONCERNED’ WITH CHINA, IRAN, RUSSIA ‘LOOKING FOR COMPROMISE’ 2020 SALE

Intelligence officials have said Russia is interfering through social media campaigns and by stealing and distributing e-mail from democratic accounts. The intelligence community has long maintained that Russia is trying to stimulate Donald Trump’s campaign and add chaos to the American political process.

Special adviser Robert Mueller concluded that Russian interference was “sweeping and systematic,” but he found no criminal conspiracy between Russia and the Trump campaign.

Evanina warned that the intelligence community is ‘primarily engaged’ with China, Russia and Iran ‘trying to compromise the 2020 compression’.

Evanina, earlier this month, said that these rival countries were once again trying to influence US policy and elections in various ways, declaring that Iran would “undermine” President Trump while Russia worked to “primarily denigrate” former vice-leaders. President Joe Biden.

Evanina also said earlier this month that China “prefers” that Trump “win no reelection” in November.
