Halsey and Marshmello have shared the dream video for their emotional new collaboration EDM “Be Kind”.
The surreal clip, directed by Hannah Lux Davis, features the pink-haired singer traversing three different worlds. She begins her journey in a sad, abandoned stone building before escaping into a colorful cityscape with abundant cherry blossoms. Dressed in a light blue crop top and yellow skirt, she enters a beautiful flower-filled park with hills in the background.
The smiley-face DJ and producer makes cameos during the three-minute video, first subtly appearing in a flower and then oddly watching Halsey through a robotic camera in closing.
Filmed during the coronavirus blockade, Halsey, who dances gracefully throughout the clip, was forced to learn the choreography via FaceTime, according to a press release.
“Be Kind” appeared in early May and is the follow-up to ‘Been Thru This Before’ with Southside and Saint Jhn, which arrived in April.
